Purpose / Description

GitHub retires the macOS 14 runner images on 2 November 2026 and is running scheduled brownouts until then. During a brownout the macOS JUnit job is cancelled within a second, before any step runs, so unrelated PRs show a red check (i.e. #22880). After 2 November it would fail on every PR.

Approach

Switch the unit test workflow from macos-14 to macos-15, which is still Apple Silicon, in the matrix list and the manual run options. The check keeps its "macos" name, so branch protection rules don't need changing.

The macOS JUnit job on this PR is the first real run on macos-15
