Add test-only MMR history coverage with a recursive forest oracle that computes documented hash preimages without the production hashing, size, peak or proof helpers. Across 33 prefixes, 561 saved-prefix/current-state pairs verify serialized inclusion and consistency proofs, retain prior roots, and refuse altered bodies, wrong growth context and forked roots. A seven-leaf oracle regression pin and reordered-leaf control bound the reference helper.
Validation, Linux/Python 3.12.14: repository hash-locked CI/witness environment plus editable local package; full unittest discovery 408 tests OK, new module 2 tests OK, Ruff and whitespace pass. Independently replacing production position commitment or reversing peak bagging makes the new module fail; source restored.
This complements #165's parser validation and #167's portable corpus. The oracle is a separate local algorithm implementation with synthetic bodies, not a reproduced external implementation, external wire compatibility or hardware/certificate validation. No runtime, checkpoint format, registry entry or producer changes.
Prepared with OpenAI Codex. DCO-signed; independent review and final-head hosted checks required.
