Closing: blocked by our golangci-lint pin, not by anything wrong with Go 1.27.

Dockerfile.devtools is where make qa-lint runs, so bumping it to 1.27 also bumps the compiler whose export data golangci-lint has to read. The pin is v1.62.2 (Makefile:277, Dec 2024) and it cannot:

cannot decode "sync/atomic", export data version 4 is greater than maximum supported version 2

Everything else in that CI log — r.Status undefined, undefined: GinkgoWriter, declared and not used — is cascade from the failed import, not a real defect. The typechecker gave up and mis-analysed the rest.

Reopen once golangci-lint is bumped. That is a v1 -> v2 move with a breaking config format, so it needs its own change rather than riding along with a base-image bump.
