Update bundled XMF to 1.3.2 - #645
Conversation
Sync xoops_lib/Xmf with XMF 1.3.2 while keeping the 2.6 integration: - Take 1.3.2 as-is for framework-neutral classes and add the new Ulid, ProxyCheck, I18n, Security, Mail and SchemaDefinitionException - Tables: 1.3.2 fixes (DEFAULT clause quoting, definition validation, DEFAULT_GENERATED) on the 2.6 Doctrine connection - Language: 1.3.2 path containment using XoopsBaseConfig root-path - Keep the 2.6 Debug, TableLoad, Cache and Permission helpers; add Permission::getItemIds() - Keep the 2.6 Admin::menuIconPath() (2.6 admin builds icon paths) - Retain 2.6-only Request::getDateTime() and FilterInput::gather()

Agreed. Upstream XMF ships no tests for Serializer/SerializableTrait, so there was nothing to port. Writing them is being tracked separately; it is the largest remaining gap in coverage on new code.

Added in adfd625: tests/unit/xoopsLib/Xmf/Security/SerializerTest.php and SerializableTraitTest.php (69 tests) cover all formats, size and gzip limits, allowed classes, detection, the typed helpers, debug stats and migration. Five tests assert the correct behaviour for confirmed upstream bugs and are marked incomplete until XMF fixes them: serialized null and payloads under 16 characters in fromLegacy(), gzip decoding (every valid gzip payload is rejected because inflate_add(ZLIB_FINISH) runs after the stream has ended), the legacy logger's call site, and migrateSerializedData() overwriting data on corrupt input.

🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win
Preserve prefixed tokens in custom headers.
If an existing caller uses fromHeader($key, [], 'X-Auth-Token') with X-Auth-Token: Bearer <valid JWT>, this branch now sends Bearer <valid JWT> to the decoder. Decoding returns false; the previous branch removed the prefix. Accept both a bare JWT and a Bearer-prefixed JWT for custom headers to preserve existing callers.

Kept identical to upstream XMF 1.3.2: nothing in XOOPS 2.6 calls this code yet, and patching the bundled copy would make it drift from upstream. This will be fixed in XOOPS/xmf and picked up on the next sync.

@mambax7 Thanks for the context. Keeping TokenReader.php identical to upstream XMF 1.3.2 is reasonable because XOOPS 2.6 has no callers yet. The concern remains deferred to the upstream fix and next sync; no bundled change is needed in this PR.

🗄️ Data Integrity & Integration | 🟠 Major | ⚡ Quick win
migrateSerializedData() overwrites the stored value with "null" when decoding fails.
Serializer::detect() returns Format::PHP from a prefix check alone (looksLikeSerialized). Line 134 then calls unserializeProperty($oldData), which uses Serializer::tryFrom() with $default = null. tryFrom() catches every Throwable and returns null. The decode can fail for several realistic reasons:
- The payload is corrupt or truncated. In legacy XOOPS data, a common cause is a
s:N:length mismatch after a charset conversion. - The payload contains objects with private or protected properties.
validateSecurity()rejects these because of NUL bytes. - The payload is larger than
MAX_SIZE.
In each case $value is null, and line 135 turns it into the JSON string null. Line 136 then writes that value with setVar(), and the function returns true. The original data is lost after the next store. The catch block on lines 139–147 never runs for decode failures.
Call Serializer::from() directly so that failures reach the existing catch.

getDateTime() throws the wrong exception type on failure.
The docblock lists only \InvalidArgumentException. Line 478 can throw \RuntimeException, and that exception is not documented. Valid ULIDs reach year 10889. createFromFormat('U u') accepts timestamps in that range, so this throw is practically unreachable. Add @throws \RuntimeException to the docblock for accuracy.

Fix test isolation for the XOOPS_ROOT_PATH assumption.
The comment says XOOPS_ROOT_PATH is undefined. The test bootstrap of this repository can define it. If it does, resolve() checks the file system, but the assertions still pass. They pass because no candidate file exists. No test covers the language-specific or direction-specific candidate path. Add a test that creates a temporary directory and files. The test must also define XOOPS_ROOT_PATH in a separate process. The test then verifies that arrow.ar.png and arrow.rtl.png win in the documented order.

Cover the JSON, PHP and legacy formats, size limits, allowed-class handling, gzip limits, format detection, the typed helpers and debug stats. Five tests assert the correct behaviour for bugs in the bundled XMF 1.3.2 code and are marked incomplete until upstream fixes them: serialized null and short payloads in fromLegacy(), gzip decoding, the legacy logger call site, and migrateSerializedData() on corrupt input. ProxyCheckTest now restores the xoopsConfig global after each test.
