What to build
A reproducible, containerised build of VirtualBox main (headless, no Qt GUI, hardening disabled) including kernel modules built against the host's stock 6.8.0-146-generic kernel headers, so no VirtualBox build dependencies are installed on the host. Lives in a dev-tooling directory outside both repos.
Acceptance criteria
- An Ubuntu 24.04 image (glibc matching the host) builds VirtualBox
mainuserland and kernel modules with one command - Build config disables the Qt GUI and hardening
- The VirtualBox source tree and the host kernel headers are mounted, not copied
- A rebuild after a source change is incremental and takes one command

Implemented locally in

Source tree bind-mounted at the same path; nothing copied into the image.out/linux.amd64/release/bin/(VBoxManage 7.2.97r115255 runs on host);bin/src/{vboxdrv,vboxnetflt,vboxnetadp}/*.kowith vermagic6.8.0-146-generic.MachineDebuggerImpl.cpp: 5 s, same command.VBOX_WITH_ADDITIONS=; X11 driver symbol check fails under_FORTIFY_SOURCE), Java/webservices off.Left open for maintainer review.
