Purpose

Show TypeOpen working before asking visitors to read the technical documentation, while keeping the open-source macOS repo lightweight.

Changes

• Put a concise value proposition and install paths at the top of README.
• Add a prominent clickable cover extracted from the real horizontal 30-second demonstration.
• Link both horizontal and vertical TypeOpen demos (each 30 seconds) from README.
• Add a three-panel gallery of screenshots taken from the demo (live Markdown, Source Mode, document outline).
• Keep a 1280×640 social-preview JPEG in docs/assets/typeopen-social-preview.jpg for repository settings; setting the social preview requires a separate settings update and has not been done.
• Collapse the detailed feature list without erasing macOS/Gatekeeper limitations.
• Update DOMPurify from 3.4.16 to 3.4.17 to resolve the runtime security audit failure in the original PR.

Hosting

• The video files are published as GitHub Release v0.1.7 assets, not tracked in Git.
  • Landscape video — 4,627,672 bytes, H.264 1920×1080
  • Portrait video — 10,208,981 bytes, H.264 1080×1920
• Both public video URLs returned HTTP 206 with a byte-range request; the README images returned HTTP 206 with image/jpeg.
• No app source, DMG, release binary or macOS signing configuration was changed.

Verification / outstanding

• git diff --check clean, no generated video artifacts added to the repo.
• CI after the media update: see the Checks tab (source + native must both pass).
• Social preview image exists in the repo, but it is not selected under GitHub repository Settings yet.
• This PR remains draft and must not be merged without a final review/authorization.
