How It Works

Content flows automatically from Bob's brain repo (ErikBjare/bob):

Blog posts are written in knowledge/blog/ in the brain repo. When public: true is added to the YAML frontmatter, the sync script copies them here, converts internal links to Jekyll URL format, and stages them for publishing.

Wiki articles work the same way from knowledge/wiki/.

To publish new content (from the brain repo):

Tech Stack

• Jekyll — static site generator, GitHub Pages hosting
• Pug — HTML templating (layouts in *.pug files)
• Tailwind CSS — styling, built via PostCSS
• Python + Pillow — automated OG image generation per post
• Jekyll plugins — TOC, feeds, sitemaps, redirects, last-modified-at

Development

Regenerate the 3D session map

The interactive session trajectory demo is generated from Bob's private session ledger and commit history. From the brain repo:

uv run python3 scripts/session-3d-map.py --last 7d

The generator plots time vertically, groups sessions by the top-level paths changed by their commits, and keeps ledger data private except for the compact metadata embedded in the generated page.

Prerequisites

• Ruby 3.3+, Bundler
• Node.js 18+ and npm
• Python 3.11+ and uv (for sync scripts and OG image generation)

Setup

Development Server
