Move wallet, guild context and death reconciliation to characters - #103
Conversation
Paid stage changes and class picks now take denars from the changed character's own pouch or bank through DenarEconomy 0.3.0's Denars API, still reached by reflection. Each payment is saved on the character with its debit and refund operation IDs before the debit is posted; settling asks the ledger whether the debit applied, discards refused or missing debits without a refund, and refunds with the stored ID so retries never pay twice. Pending payments from the account-wide wallet are refunded to the account's legacy heir once heirs are known. The character selector shows each character's own balances. Merge Risk: 🟡 Moderate · up to Death records can disappear or go stale for characters, and a player's guild may stop showing on character cards. Fix these before merging. Payment handling otherwise appears to fail safely. ✨ Finishing Touches 💡 1

- Force the character file and its directory to disk before a debit is posted (Database.trySaveCharacterDurably); a failed sync takes nothing. - A held class pick or paid stage change blocks stage edits and class picks until it settles. A paid pick whose class could not be applied is saved as refund-required, so reaching the same class later is never read as success for that payment. - Legacy pending payments always refund to the legacy heir once known, whatever the character became; they are never cleared as kept. The two valid death-record findings were fixed in 29c9ebe (queued snapshots carry deathId; wrong-owner removal cannot delete it) with full verify green. The remaining guild-lookup finding is obsolete: SimpleFactions#160 makes membership per-character in this same release set, so the character-scoped lookup is intended.
Paid creation-stage changes and paid class picks now charge the character being changed, from its own pouch or bank on the DenarEconomy ledger, instead of the account-wide balance.
This requires DenarEconomy 0.3.0 (TF-Minecraft/DenarEconomy#38). RPCharacters still reaches DenarEconomy by reflection, to avoid the load cycle, but now binds to
net.tfminecraft.denareconomy.api.Denarsinstead ofOfflineModifier. With an older DenarEconomy, paid changes are switched off; the incompatibility is logged once per plugin instance. How a payment works
Before the debit is posted, RPCharacters saves the payment on the character file, forcing the file and its directory to disk, with two operation IDs:
paid:<characterId>:<stage>:<nonce>for the debit andrefund:<characterId>:<stage>:<nonce>for its refund. Class picks useclass-pickas the stage. Debits move money toDenars.MINTwith reasonrpc:paid-changeorrpc:class-pick, and refunds come back from the mint withrpc:refund. Only anAPPLIEDresult counts as paid. When a payment is settled (leaving the edit session, DenarEconomy shutting down, or the owner's next join after a crash), RPCharacters asks the ledger for the debit's status. A debit that was refused or never posted is dropped without a refund. An applied debit is kept when the change stuck and refunded otherwise. The refund always reuses the stored ID, so a retry or a replay from an older save never pays twice. If the ledger cannot say, the payment stays held and is settled on the next join.
While a payment is held (a paid stage change or a class pick), the character cannot open a stage edit or pick a class until it settles. A paid class pick whose class could not be applied is saved as refund-required, so reaching that class later is never read as success for that payment.
Pending payments saved by the old wallet hold an account and no operation IDs. They load as already paid from the account's money. Whatever the character has changed since, they are always refunded to
Characters.legacyHeir(account)'s pouch or bank withrefund-legacy:<characterId>:<stage>once heirs are ready, and stay pending until then.Character selection
Each character's card shows its own pouch, bank and guild. Guild information waits for SimpleFactions readiness. Realm OOC chat follows the sender's character realm and includes only online characters in that realm.
TLibs 2.4.1 exposes
Characters.deathId(characterId)for offline death reconciliation. The provider returns the saved ID, retains it after revival, and generates a stable deterministic lookup ID for legacy DEAD records without a death record. Queued saves retain the death ID from the saved snapshot, and removal checks the owning account before deleting that ID. Unknown or quarantined characters return empty. The build pins SimpleFactions 4.0.0 and TLibs 2.4.1.Companion APIs: TF-Minecraft/TLibs#44, TF-Minecraft/SimpleFactions#160.
Tests
New and updated tests cover saving the intent before the debit, a crash after the debit and before settling (refunded once, with replays changing nothing), refused or missing debits (no refund), unsavable intents and an unreachable ledger, idempotent refund retries, conflicting refund IDs, legacy pending-record migration and heir refunds, the same cases for class picks, and the reflection wallet against a compiled fake
Denarsclass with DenarEconomy absent, present, reloaded and failing. Further tests cover forcing the file and directory before the withdrawal, a failed directory sync taking nothing, a failed pick that the ledger later refunds before an edit, and a changed character's legacy hold waiting for its heir.tfmc-mvn -o -B --no-transfer-progress clean verifypasses: 2224 tests, 100% line coverage.Docs: TF-Minecraft/Docs#196
