📝 Summary
Merge Risk: 🟡 Moderate · up to Three problems should be fixed before merging. One corrupted legacy shop file can keep every shop closed. A temporary economy outage can lock a shop for other customers, and after a restart staff must review it. File saves can fail on some environments because the code syncs every parent directory up to the root. ✨ Finishing Touches 💡 1

- Line 32: Update DurableFiles.write to sync the target’s parent and only the
parent directories needed to persist directories created by the write, rather
than syncing every ancestor to the filesystem root. Define the platform-specific
policy for directory-sync failures, including Windows AccessDeniedException, and
apply it consistently to both write and delete without treating the exception as
proof that the rename is durable.

- Around line 56-62: Update the per-file exception handler in `ShopMigration` so
an unreadable shop is quarantined without setting the global `failed` flag;
retain global failure handling for migration-wide failures such as report-write
errors and preserve the intended hash-mismatch policy.
Review comments at @src/main/java/net/tfminecraft/bartershops/ShopTrades.java:
- Around line 42-46: Update ShopTrades.trade to reconcile each prepared intent
by its operation ID through Denars.status before rejecting a different request
or an existing intent file after restart. Discard the intent only when the
ledger confirms the operation was not applied; retain pending or applied
intents, and allow delivery only when the incoming request matches. Treat an
empty status result as inconclusive and do not discard the intent.

Adjudicated per thread: ShopMigration finding was valid and is fixed in b4a4be1 (per-file quarantine, no repeated warnings) with full verify green (194 tests) and CI passing. The DurableFiles and ShopTrades findings are refuted with evidence in their threads: ancestor sync is the deliberate stage-5 durability pattern, and REVIEW freeze-for-staff is the documented design since an empty ledger status can mask an applied posting.
Shops now belong to characters, so another character on the same Minecraft account cannot remove them or receive their proceeds. Legacy shop files retain their UUID and migrate to the account's reviewed heir after identity is ready, with immutable backups, hash-checked restart recovery and full-data quarantine for unmapped owners.
Buying and selling use one taxable DenarEconomy ledger posting between the customer's character pouch and the owner's character bank. A durable operation ID precedes payment; refused payments move no items, temporary outages retry the same intent, and interrupted delivery freezes the shop for staff review. Free shops retain zero-price trades. Installed SimpleFactions must finish migration and remain available before shops trade, so embargo and tax setup cannot be bypassed.
Requires TLibs 2.4.0, DenarEconomy 0.3.0 (TF-Minecraft/DenarEconomy#38), and SimpleFactions 4.0.0 when installed. CI dependency preparation cannot resolve the two unreleased provider versions yet. Keep this draft within the coordinated stage 5 release set for TF-Minecraft/RPCharacters#89; no merge, release or server change is included.
Validation:
tfmc-mvn -o -B --no-transfer-progress clean verifyon the CachyOS PC, 192 tests passed. Covers character creation/protection, offline owner proceeds, migration readiness/backup/replay, both taxable directions, insufficient funds, durable retry, conflicting postings, and provider waiting/disable/error paths. No coverage rule was removed or weakened; this repository's starting POM has no coverage gate.Minecraft inventories and the money ledger do not share a transaction. Leftover trade journals require staff reconciliation; automatic item escrow and coordinated live-data rehearsal remain outside this PR.
