Activity reloads now retry previously unresolved TLibs reward items, malformed player sections enter the existing quarantine/backup recovery path, and PlaceholderAPI shutdown only unregisters the expansion this plugin owns. Large progress values no longer overflow, and Bukkit sound enum names retain valid resource keys.

The test suite now covers every production line, including real file recovery, reward rollback, GUI interactions, lifecycle ownership, listeners, and optional provider boundaries. Verification enforces zero missed lines with no coverage exclusions and fails when either JaCoCo execution data or the XML report is missing; CI uploads the reports. Redundant unreachable checks were removed or consolidated while preserving command/GUI precedence.

Validation: Java 21 offline mvn clean verify passed 959 tests, 0 failures/errors/skips, with 2,988/2,988 production lines covered. Runtime JAR filename and embedded version validation passed. Tests use MockBukkit and scoped external API boundaries, so they do not replace live Paper smoke testing. Opus 5.5 approved the final head after an independent clean verification. Invalid sound identifiers now disable that sound and log the problem while the rest of configuration loads successfully.

Walkthrough

The build now enforces 100% production line coverage and uploads JaCoCo reports. The changes add MockBukkit tests and update plugin hooks, configuration calculations, GUI rerolls, listener handling, activity management and player-store loading.

Changes

Coverage and runtime boundary updates

Layer / File(s) Summary
Test and coverage infrastructure
.github/workflows/build.yml, README.md, pom.xml, src/test/java/net/tfminecraft/activitytf/testsupport/RegistryBootstrap.java, src/test/resources/META-INF/services/org.junit.platform.launcher.LauncherSessionListener
The build adds JUnit, MockBukkit and Mockito dependencies, JaCoCo reporting and a 100% line-coverage check. CI uploads the report. The README documents the test and coverage requirements. A JUnit session listener bootstraps Paper registries.
Plugin lifecycle and API boundaries
src/main/java/net/tfminecraft/activitytf/ActivityPlugin.java, src/test/java/net/tfminecraft/activitytf/ActivityAPITest.java, src/test/java/net/tfminecraft/activitytf/ActivityPluginTest.java
PlaceholderAPI registration and cleanup now check registration success and expansion identity. Tests cover plugin startup and shutdown, listener and command wiring, deferred reloads, PlaceholderAPI replacement and failure cases, and ActivityAPI.record thread handling.
Command and configuration handling
src/main/java/net/tfminecraft/activitytf/commands/ActivityCommand.java, src/main/java/net/tfminecraft/activitytf/config/ActivityConfiguration.java, src/test/java/net/tfminecraft/activitytf/commands/ActivityCommandTest.java, src/test/java/net/tfminecraft/activitytf/config/*Test.java, src/test/java/net/tfminecraft/activitytf/utils/ItemPathTest.java
Command dispatch uses arrow switch cases. Sound names are resolved through Bukkit’s Sound enum when applicable, and the non-vote daily maximum uses long arithmetic. Tests cover command outcomes, configuration loading and reloads, message handling and item-path classification.
GUI, placeholders and item hooks
src/main/java/net/tfminecraft/activitytf/gui/ActivityGui.java, src/main/java/net/tfminecraft/activitytf/hooks/PlaceholderHook.java, src/main/java/net/tfminecraft/activitytf/hooks/TLibsItems.java, src/main/java/net/tfminecraft/activitytf/managers/ActivityManager.java, src/test/java/net/tfminecraft/activitytf/gui/ActivityGuiTest.java, src/test/java/net/tfminecraft/activitytf/hooks/*Test.java
Disabled rerolls now proceed to the manager, and placeholder percentages use long arithmetic. Manager reload resets TLibs item lookup caches. Tests cover GUI interactions, placeholder output and item-provider resolution.
Listener event boundaries
src/main/java/net/tfminecraft/activitytf/listeners/BattleListener.java, src/main/java/net/tfminecraft/activitytf/listeners/ProfessionXpListener.java, src/test/java/net/tfminecraft/activitytf/listeners/*Test.java
The battle listener no longer returns when participant IDs are null. The profession XP listener no longer checks hasProfession() before retrieving the profession. Tests cover these and other listener event boundaries.
Activity management and player storage
src/main/java/net/tfminecraft/activitytf/managers/ActivityManager.java, src/main/java/net/tfminecraft/activitytf/store/PlayerStore.java, src/test/java/net/tfminecraft/activitytf/managers/*Test.java, src/test/java/net/tfminecraft/activitytf/models/PlayerDataTest.java, src/test/java/net/tfminecraft/activitytf/store/PlayerStoreTest.java
PlayerStore quarantines an existing players value when it is not a configuration section. ActivityManager.runnableClickCommands no longer returns an empty list for a null definition. Tests cover manager rewards and timers, player data and store loading and saving.

Change: Bug fix

Merge Risk: ⚪ Minimal · up to 6a672

No actionable merge-blocking issue was established. The change is mergeable after normal checks.

Security Architecture Review

Security architecture risk: 🔵 Low · up to 6a672

The inspected changes improve recovery and plugin ownership without demonstrating broader privileges or deployment exposure. Risk is low, but live-server behavior and optional-provider compatibility remain unverified.

Retained concerns
No architecture-level concerns identified.

Security review details

Security Blast Radius

  • inferred — The inspected security-relevant runtime effects operate within the hosting server: the plugin data folder, the shared expansion registry, and existing reward-provider and console-command paths. CI changes operate within the existing build job. No inspected change demonstrates additional tenant, IAM, secret, or network authority.

Trust Boundaries and Controls

  • observed — The command reload path still checks the applicable permission before invoking the manager. GUI rerolls retain player-use and enabled-reroll permission checks; disabled requests are rejected by the manager before loading or mutating player state.
  • observed — The external expansion registry is treated as shared state: successful registration establishes ownership, and instance identity—not identifier equality alone—authorizes shutdown cleanup.

Resilience and Maintainability Implications

  • observed — The new malformed-section branch improves preservation compared with the base: it cannot enable writes on a fresh store unless copying the original succeeds. Inspected test assertions verify preservation through a subsequent successful save, but no test execution was performed during this review.
  • Autopilot · Keep fixing CodeRabbit findings and required CI, and resolving merge conflicts

Close breweryConfigs and breweryPlugins even when an earlier close fails.

stopServer closes the static mocks one after another in the same try block. If providers.close() or brews.close() throws, the remaining MockedStatic registrations stay active on that thread. MockBukkit.unmock() is also skipped in that case. Later tests then run with a leaked static mock or a leaked server, and the failures move to unrelated tests. The same risk exists if @BeforeEach fails part-way: @AfterEach still runs, but only fields that were already assigned get closed.

Close each resource on its own and throw the first failure after all of them are closed.
