  • Extracted the type-specific methods from the argument_base class to a new typed_argument_base intermediate interface
  • Removed the use of std::any from argument value storage
  • Aligned the argument class API to return the stored values directly
  • Modified the argument_parser class API to return the stored values by reference (with the exception of small trivially copyable types)
  • Removed all the std::any-related utility
