GitHub now applies a default 3-day cooldown to version updates. Set default-days: 0 to keep daily updates opening immediately.

GitHub applies a default 3-day cooldown to dependabot version updates since July 2026, delaying PRs.
Sets
cooldown: default-days: 0on all ecosystems to restore immediate daily PRs (security updates are unaffected either way).
