Very cool project!
Is there a way to add in conveyor weighing for vegetable crops? The sensors in this case would be load cells. I'm not a coder but ive started a project using AI to code. It's in the very beginning stages! I currently use Greentronics scale on my conveyor but want to build something for a potato harvester.

It could be possible. The YF1 pcb has a MikroBus slot. This board from Mikroe should work with the load cells: https://www.mikroe.com/load-cell-2-click. The firmware would need to be updated to use it.

So far I've been just using some components from sparksfun, using their qwiik scale and a magnetic proximity sensor for shaft speed. Definitely not stuck on using my hardware. Sounds like your pcb would work for this. Could the proximity sensor feed the RPM signal? So far I have been using 2 load cells. Could another MikroBus slot be added to the pcb?

The existing pcb can read a rpm signal. The mikrobus slot on the board was for grain moisture. This wouldn't be needed for potatoes so the load cell mikrobus could fit there.

I think it could be developed in the main application. Improvements in the app would benefit both types of harvest. Do you have any outlines of the screens you would need? Does the conveyor scale need a tilt sensor to account for tilt affecting the load cells? Is this a direct unload machine?

Nice plan! I don't have any outlines of screens yet. Possibly would need a tilt sensor but we are mostly flat ground here in ND. This is a direct load machine, but eventually id like to use it on a sugarbeet lifter which has a 2.5ton hopper. Im wondering if we should include a sensor if machine is lifted? Potatoes don't have headlands like other crops so there will be no harvested crop sections to turn logging off. I do turn off belt drive to turn so maybe that would stop the load accumulation.

Maybe a fork is better. There are a lot of changes to make it work. Here is an initial design: https://github.com/SK21/BeltFlo. A lot of work yet to finish.

The play, pause and stop buttons on the top row now work just for the current load. The flow graph is lb/min. Belt graph is ft/min. The "Load" text will show "Load 1", "Load 2" etc.
