The SAR Plugin for OpenCPN provides Search and Rescue (SAR) pattern plotting capabilities for OpenCPN.
The plugin aims to:
- Generate GPX/RTZ files for the main SAR search patterns.
- Plot selected SAR patterns directly in OpenCPN.

The plugin uses a continuous integration workflow described in the Alternative Workflow wiki.
This workflow can also push updated plugin metadata files to a clone of the OpenCPN Plugins repository, simplifying the process of preparing pull requests against the official repository.
If you would like to contribute, pull requests can be submitted to either:
- Maintainer: Rasbats/sar_pi
- Active contributor: Kupofty/sar_pi
The original SAR plugin was developed by SaltyPaws. Credit and acknowledgement are retained for the original work.
The original SaltyPaws/SAR_pi repository is no longer maintained and should not be used for pull requests.
