What

Configure Blacki to use its own sandbox image and startup command by default.

Why

The existing Athena sandbox image does not provide the ARM64 image needed by the new sandbox server.

How

  • Default to ghcr.io/queryplanner/blacki-sandbox:latest.
  • Start blacki-sandbox-start when available and retain existing image fallbacks.
  • Update the sandbox configuration tests.

The ARM64 image was built and published manually. Its public GHCR package is linked to the Blacki repository.

Tests

  • uv run ruff format, uv run ruff check, uv run mypy ., and uv run pytest --cov=src (2,239 passed, 100% coverage)
  • Run browser, Jupyter, and Python kernel checks against the locally built ARM64 image
  • Verify the published GHCR manifest is publicly accessible and contains linux/arm64
  • Verify sandbox creation against the OpenSandbox server; the server was unreachable during the test

- Publish a Blacki-owned sandbox image for AMD64 and ARM64
- Verify sandbox tools and pin deployments to the image digest
- Run sandbox image checks only during publishing
- Verify the reusable workflow does not run on pull requests
- Remove image publishing from the deployment workflow
- Keep the sandbox image build outside the repository
