The background is translucent in your template images. I suggest ensuring that the background is more uniform. Or maybe the template is ultimately cropped when used, so it doesn't matter? |
The weather detector will be looking waterfilling the white part of the image, and the box I've drawn is completely within the blue background. IMO you'd have to intentionally mess up the colors of your capture card/switch for the waterfill to fill something else than the icon. Running the program to dump the images gives me these images for sunny weather. I think this is pretty robust, but I'm happy to learn a better way.
