Live two-host Layer 2 Flat Catalog QA on Ubuntu 26.04 found that the packaged rancher-cni-bridge v0.3.1 ignores skipBridgeConfigureIP, adds a duplicate bridge address, and leaves workloads without IPv4. Pin upstream v0.7.2 by SHA-256, preserve the operator-owned bridge, and strengthen the packaged-image CNI gate to use a preconfigured bridge address different from the subnet network address. Verify the exact built image through isolated CNI ADD/DEL and then live two-host datapath before release.
