What this is

The version bump and release notes for 0.1.17, after #59 merged the eight new engines, sqlx driver add and the JDBC worker fixes.

Changes

  • Version 0.1.17 in the workspace, the JDBC module, the three packagers, the three npm packages, the two plugin runtimes and manifests, the two packages.yml guards and the update tests; the version-consistency guard passes.
  • docs/release-notes.md describes the new engines, the provided driver, the worker behaviour changes and the upgrade path. The Skill ships with a >=0.1.17, <0.2.0 CLI requirement.
  • README development commands name the 0.1.17 JDBC jar.

Verification

  • cargo fmt --check, cargo clippy --workspace --all-targets -- -D warnings, cargo test --workspace — clean.
  • mvn -f java/jdbc/pom.xml verify — passes and builds sqlx-jdbc-0.1.17.jar.
  • python3 tests/distribution.py — version consistency, 61 manifest entries, the release contract and the distribution tests pass.

After merge

Tag v0.1.17 on the merge commit; the Packages workflow validates the tag, builds the five platforms, assembles 57 components, publishes the GitHub Release (draft then latest), publishes the three npm packages and syncs the plugins branch.

Eight engines, the driver command and the JDBC worker fixes are on main, so the release number moves
everywhere it is read: the workspace, the JDBC module, the packagers, the npm packages, the plugin
runtimes and manifests, the release workflow guards and the update tests. The release notes describe
the new engines, the driver a user provides, the worker behaviour changes and how to upgrade. The
Skill ships with a >=0.1.17, <0.2.0 CLI requirement.
