Adds Master Recordings: StarLancer's music from Ian Livingstone's 44.1 kHz master recordings, in place of the 22 kHz copies the game shipped with.

  • 35 pieces replace the game's music by name, wherever the game plays it: the missions, the menus, the Sim Pod, the launches, victory and defeat, the rooms, and the CD player's 24 tracks. Each is cut from its master at the game's own start and length, so it loops where the game's does. Takeoff and Searching Mission 10 stay the game's own: no master holds Takeoff, and Searching Mission 10's master is a different version.
  • 36 more CD player tracks play the masters in full (cd_player.luau): the game's pieces that the CD player doesn't list, the movies' music and the characters' themes. The Jukebox shows their pages.
  • The masters keep their dynamics. 11 pieces stay 3.4 to 7 dB quieter than the game's copies, which were made louder than plain gain can take the masters, rather than going through a limiter.
  • Ian gave his permission on 13 October 2026, and license.txt states it. The email itself stays out, since it holds both email addresses and the whole thread.
  • Needs OpenReliant 0.14, for FLAC and the extra CD player tracks.

Git LFS:

  • The FLAC files take 521 MB, so *.flac now goes in Git LFS (.gitattributes). The existing WAV and MP3 files are unchanged.
  • The Check and Publish workflows fetch the collection's own LFS files through a new lfs action, cached by their contents, so that each version costs the LFS bandwidth (10 GiB a month on the free plan) once. Players download the released .hog, which isn't LFS traffic.
  • The README says how to clone without the LFS files and fetch one mod's.

Merging publishes Master Recordings 1.0, a 546 MB .hog.

license.txt states it, and the maintainer keeps his reply.
