feat(sharpa-avatar): report glove and dongle health - #1346
Add standard device-health reporting to the Sharpa Avatar plugin.
Report the Avatar USB dongle separately using Linux USB enumeration.
Report left- and right-glove health independently.
Publish health for the hand, raw-joint, and robot-joint manifest paths.
Register avatar_hand_plugin for TeleopSession status monitoring.
Add --print-health to the existing Sharpa Viser example so health changes can be inspected from the terminal.
Keep health collection and publication failures isolated from the tracking data path.
The pinned production Avatar SDK 1.7.3 does not expose independent “physically connected” and “data streaming” signals in wireless mode. DeviceInfo.online follows recent joint-frame activity, so this PR exposes it as the available glove health signal and uses sample freshness to prevent stale data from being reported as healthy. Dongle presence is reported independently.
No new health UI is added to Viser. Applications can consume the status through the existing TeleopSession.get_status() / get_device_status() interface, while --print-health provides a test and debugging view.
Summary by CodeRabbit
New Features
Sharpa Avatar health reporting now shows USB dongle status and separate left- and right-glove status, including when data is stale or unavailable.
The Sharpa Avatar example can optionally print device health at startup and whenever health changes.
Documentation
Updated the example’s run instructions and clarified how device and wireless-stream health are reported.

Walkthrough
The Sharpa plugin now reports health for each glove’s hand, raw, and robot paths, and for the USB dongle. Glove status uses SDK online state and sample freshness. TeleopSession monitors the Avatar plugin, and the example can print initial health and subsequent changes. The change also adds health-state tests and repository guidance for local dependencies.

Glove health can incorrectly report either disconnection or a healthy data path, so the status reporting should be corrected before merging. Document when samples become stale as well.

The title clearly and concisely describes the main change: adding glove and dongle health reporting to the Sharpa Avatar plugin.
Full details: Linked Issues check
Explanation
Issue [#1319] requires machine-readable freshness with documented clock semantics and a documented timeout. The implementation stores internal freshness timing and maps it to CONNECTED, DEGRADED, or UNKNOWN, but PluginDeviceStatusEntry exposes no last-sample timestamp or elapsed age. src/plugins/sharpa_avatar/README.md also does not document the 3-second timeout or the clock semantics. The implementation documents that SDK DeviceInfo.online cannot provide an independent physical-connection signal, but it does not expose separate connection and streaming fields. The independent glove entries and dongle entry are present.
Resolution
Expose per-glove last-valid-sample time or age through the health interface. Document its clock semantics and the timeout that changes health. Provide an explicit supported/unsupported or equivalent reason classification when the SDK cannot determine physical connection versus streaming, and add automated coverage for publication, timeout, recovery, and one-glove isolation.
Full details: Out of Scope Changes check
Explanation
The health implementation, example option, plugin registration, documentation, and tests support [#1319]. The .gitignore change for .local-deps/ and the AGENTS.md instruction change are repository-policy housekeeping with no demonstrated connection to Avatar health reporting.
Resolution
Remove the .gitignore and AGENTS.md changes from this pull request, or move them to a separate maintenance pull request.
