  • Inspect failing "Verify on Linux" workflow run and collect root cause from logs
  • Apply a minimal, focused fix for the flaky/failing Linux desktop interaction test
  • Add or adjust focused test coverage for the changed behavior
  • Run targeted tests/verification for the touched area
  • Run security checks (CodeQL) and secret scanning for changed files
  • Report final status and remaining risks

Root cause: Verify on Linux failed in LinuxWindowGesturesTest.secondaryTouchCannotFinishOrTakeOverResizeInEitherReleaseOrder with a timeout waiting for a click after releasing multi-touch contacts.

Change: add touch.reset() immediately after the multi-touch resize layout settles and before the follow-up tap assertion, so each loop iteration starts the click probe from a clean touch session.

Why: this prevents stale contact/session state from previous synthetic contacts from intermittently swallowing the next tap, while preserving the test's user-observable requirement that clicks work after contacts are released.

Validation: investigated Actions job logs (job 121506232615) and confirmed the failing assertion location; local targeted test execution is blocked in this environment by unavailable Kotlin Gradle plugin resolution; secret scan passed; CodeQL checker reported trivial change and skipped.
