The 24px status bar showed as an empty strip most of the time. It is gone: the app frame is title bar + workbench, so Settings and the run button sit flush with the bottom of the window.
Verification: typecheck, lint, prettier, unit tests (509 passed), build, ui + smoke e2e. Installed the branch build (0.5.3) locally; screenshot checked.
