So glad the first theme submission so far looks so good, great job and thanks for sharing it! We'll add this tomorrow on https://privacynotes.app/themes
Thanks again for Void Amethyst! It will ship inside the app as one of the first community themes, so people can pick it right in Settings, with your username on it. We reworked how themes color folder and tag icons: they now follow the theme's accent, so Void Amethyst gets the purple folders you asked for. Themes also tint the PrivacyNotes logo in the sidebar (hover it to see the original colors). The next release should go out at the end of this week or early next week, and the themes page updates with it. Until then, the current app versions can't paste the new theme codes. Screenshots attached.
Please let us know if you wan't anything else adjusted / fine tuned. Now is the perfect time, before the next update.
Being able to customize the "paper" where we write would be nice. There is a name for it but I forgot what it is exactly. I was going to select a darker background to introduce some slight contrast to the rest of the interface but there was no option for that.
As a matter of fact, it would be nice to have an option to use the theme background or full white as a user choice separate from the appearance customization as a whole. Other writing/editing programs like Microsoft Word allow users to use full white or the theme (usually black) text background. I guess many users would want a specific theme to be available to them without the drawback of having to choose between the entire theme or visual comfort.
I'm always for giving the user more options so everyone can better tailor their experience to their own specific usage case, but I acknowledge that's very easy to say since I'm not the one programming everything
For reference, a screenshot of the same color palette I applied to Notesnook before migrating to PN, notice how there is a difference between the menus and the writing space.
Great idea, and you named it right: the next release adds a "paper" color to themes. A theme can now set its own writing area with a new paper= key (it is also in the theme builder as "Writing area"). We already added paper=14151A to Void Amethyst, so the menus stay at #1B1C22 and you write on #14151A, like your Notesnook setup. We also moved theme submissions to GitHub Discussions, where each theme keeps an open thread for feedback, and this one moves there too.
Update ships hopefully today. Still debugging right now.

Thanks a lot, I'm glad you guys like it!
If I may, I just would like to be able to change the folder colors as well, either to the accent color or another item on the "more colors" list
