N/A — routine pull from copier-base-template.

Why is this change necessary?

Keeps this template in step with copier-base-template v0.2.0.

How does this change address the issue?

  • Pulls copier-base-template v0.2.0 into both the repo and template/:
    • Biome runs as a language: system pre-commit hook, using the binary that .devcontainer/install-ci-tooling.py installs. Its config moves to .config/biome.jsonc.
    • Prettier now formats only Vue and HTML files.
    • Updates to .claude hooks and settings (removes bash-chain-guard.js, adds post-review-comment.py), the devcontainer, CI workflows and AGENTS.md.
  • Adds a Biome override that allows comments in pyrightconfig.json. pyright only looks for its config under that .json name, but it parses the file as JSONC, so the file has comments. The old pre-commit config left the file out of biome-check. The upstream update dropped that exclude, and its hunk came back as a copier conflict. The override replaces the exclude, so Biome formats the file instead of skipping it. It lives only in this repo because most repos built from copier-base-template don't use pyright.

What side effects does this change have?

Biome now checks and formats template/pyrightconfig.json. That file needs no changes today.

How do we know this works?

  • Without the override, Biome 2.5.15 fails to parse template/pyrightconfig.json (363 errors). With it, Biome parses the file and finds nothing to change. Checked manually.
  • The CI lint matrix renders the template with each data file and runs pre-commit on the result, which exercises the new Biome hook setup in generated repos.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features
    • Added support for posting inline pull-request review comments.
    • Updated GitHub command permissions: repository viewing and cloning are allowed; selected actions require approval, and sensitive operations are blocked.
  • Tooling
    • Updated development environments to use Biome for supported file types, with Prettier retained for Vue and HTML.
    • Added options to install Copier and pre-commit tooling.
  • Documentation
    • Revised pull-request verification guidance and added guidance for handling content in public repositories.
  • Behavior Changes
    • Removed the check that blocked chained and background shell commands.

Pull copier-base-template v0.2.0: Biome now runs as a language: system pre-commit hook using the CI-installed binary, its config moves to .config/biome.jsonc, and Prettier is limited to Vue and HTML.

Allow comments in pyrightconfig.json via a Biome override, since pyright only discovers its config under the .json name but parses it as JSONC. This replaces the biome-check exclude that the old pre-commit config had for the file.

This pull request changes a CodeRabbit configuration file. Because it comes from a fork or its author is not a repository collaborator, reviews use only the configuration from the target branch. The proposed configuration will take effect after it is merged.

📝 Walkthrough

This pull request adds inline pull-request review-comment posting, moves formatter configuration and tooling to Biome, and updates Claude Code command permissions and hooks. It also revises repository guidance and pull-request verification prompts.

Changes: GitHub review comments

Layer / File(s) Summary
Shared GitHub API posting
.claude/skills/address-pr-comments/post-reply.py, .claude/skills/address-pr-comments/utils.py, template/.claude/skills/address-pr-comments/*
The reply script delegates to a shared helper that reads the body file, posts through gh api, reports the response URL, and attempts to remove the body file.
Inline review-comment CLI
.claude/skills/address-pr-comments/post-review-comment.py, .claude/skills/address-pr-comments/utils.py, .config/.copier-managed-files.json, copier.yml, template/.claude/skills/address-pr-comments/post-review-comment.py
A new CLI validates line ranges, discovers repository details, selects a commit ID, and posts inline comments. Copier management and executable permissions include the script.

Biome tooling

Layer / File(s) Summary
Biome configuration and editor settings
.config/biome.jsonc, .devcontainer/devcontainer.json, .coderabbit.yaml, .config/.copier-managed-files.json, biome.jsonc, template/.config/biome.jsonc, template/.devcontainer/devcontainer.json.jinja, template/.coderabbit.yaml, template/biome.jsonc
The repository and template use a shared Biome configuration and update editor formatter settings. Prettier remains configured for Vue and HTML.
Tool installation and workflow wiring
.devcontainer/install-ci-tooling.py, .github/actions/install_deps/action.yml, .github/workflows/ci.yaml, .github/workflows/pre-commit.yaml, extensions/context.py, template/.devcontainer/install-ci-tooling.py.jinja, template/.github/actions/install_deps/action.yml, template/.github/workflows/pre-commit.yaml
The installer adds a pinned Biome version and conditional installation options. Workflow actions pass the options, and template context includes the Biome version.
Pre-commit checks and workspace settings
.pre-commit-config.yaml, .devcontainer/on-create-command-boilerplate.sh, template/.pre-commit-config.yaml, template/.devcontainer/on-create-command-boilerplate.sh
Pre-commit runs local Biome hooks, narrows Prettier to Vue and HTML, and treats dependency removals as changes. Workspace setup disables Biome in eligible nested folders.

Claude Code policy and repository guidance

Layer / File(s) Summary
Bash hook and command permissions
.claude/hooks/bash-chain-guard.js, .claude/settings/hooks.jsonc, .claude/settings/permissions/bash.jsonc, .config/.copier-managed-files.json, AGENTS.md, template/.claude/hooks/bash-chain-guard.js, template/.claude/settings/hooks.jsonc, template/.claude/settings/permissions/bash.jsonc, template/AGENTS.md
The Bash chain-guard hook is removed. GitHub command permissions and repository command guidance are updated.
Claude Code settings and existing hooks
.claude/hooks/caveman-config.js, .claude/hooks/caveman-mode-tracker.js, .claude/settings/models.jsonc, .claude/settings/permissions/*, template/.claude/hooks/caveman-config.js, template/.claude/hooks/caveman-mode-tracker.js, template/.claude/settings/models.jsonc, template/.claude/settings/permissions/*
Existing hook behavior, model entries, and permission entries remain unchanged where described; the edits reformat their files and remove trailing commas.
Repository and pull-request guidance
AGENTS.md, .github/pull_request_template.md, template/AGENTS.md, template/.github/pull_request_template.md
Repository guidance adds visibility checks and limits references to private repositories in public repositories. The pull-request template asks for verification evidence and uncovered areas.

The tooling update looks safe to merge. The pull request template wording about CI coverage is slightly inaccurate and could mislead contributors, so correct it as a small follow-up.

Qualify the CI coverage statement.

Both workflows exclude gh-readonly-queue/** from the push trigger. The generated workflow also includes suites conditionally. Do not state that every suite runs on every push.
