### Changed

- Updated CI to checkout v7 and stable Xcode 27.1, with a warnings-as-errors library build, full package tests, DocC verification, and test-file path triggers.
- Added Xcode Quick Help documentation across the full exposed package API surface, including the native wrapper/helper layer and the deprecated compatibility layer, so every public type and entry point is easier to discover directly from Xcode.
- Added richer Quick Help coverage for the zoom/navigation surface, including `SCChartTimeViewport`, `SCChartScrollBehavior`, `SCChartZoomBehavior`, and the scrollable interactive wrappers.
- Raised minimum supported platform versions to Swift Charts baselines:

# Active Todo

## Routine Maintenance Release 1.0.9 - 2026-10-27

- [x] Confirm release tag, clean sibling main, and hosted stable Xcode availability
- [x] Update checkout, stable toolchain selection, unit-test execution, and test path triggers
- [x] Validate workflow syntax and run hosted stable build, tests, and DocC
- [x] Request Codex GitHub review and resolve actionable findings
- [x] Confirm main can fast-forward and annotated release tag 1.0.9 is unused
- [x] Record final verification, update issue #7, and remove temporary artifacts

### Review

- Scope: CI maintenance plus changelog and task evidence. Preserve all library APIs, Swift 5.7 tools minimum, and deployment targets.
- Use the hosted `xcode-27` image with explicit stable Xcode 27.1; local Xcode 27.2 RC is not a stable verification substitute.
- Verify on the feature PR before integrating main and tagging; never force-push or move an existing tag.
- Local verification passed: actionlint 1.7.12 (checksum-verified download; temporary config includes GitHub's documented `xcode-27` label), parsed workflow acceptance checks for both test triggers, stable toolchain, build, tests and DocC, plus `git diff --check`.
- PR: https://github.com/ImpostersLimited/SimpleChart/pull/8. Automated Codex review completed for `5b54012` with no findings.
- Hosted verification passed: https://github.com/ImpostersLimited/SimpleChart/actions/runs/40567680466. Stable Xcode 27.1 build 27A9275 / Swift 6.4 completed the warnings-as-errors library build, all 78 tests (zero failures), and DocC in a successful 5m53s job.
- Delivery: fast-forward the clean sibling main and publish annotated `1.0.9`; record final local/remote commit convergence in issue #7 after publication. No library source, public API, manifest, or deployment baseline changes are needed.

## Routine Maintenance Audit - 2026-10-27

- [x] Check current Apple Swift/Charts documentation and installed toolchain release channel
- [x] Review package compatibility, availability guards, and CI coverage
- [x] Run warnings-as-errors build with the initially selected toolchain (Xcode 27.2 RC)
- [x] Run full tests and DocC with stable Xcode (completed on hosted Xcode 27.1 for release 1.0.9)
- [x] Record necessary updates, optional modernization, and verification limits

### Review

- Tracking: https://github.com/ImpostersLimited/SimpleChart/issues/7. GitHub MCP required reauthentication; authenticated `gh` fallback created the issue without assignees or project placement.
- Official Swift 6.4 release notes and Apple's Swift updates describe availability shorthand, async defer, and noncopyable iteration/collections. No concrete benefit requiring these newer features was found for this synchronous chart wrapper; retain the Swift 5.7 tools minimum and current deployment targets.
- Apple's current Swift Charts updates feed still lists June 2024 vectorized/function plots and June 2025 3D charts. The package already covers these families and conditionally enables Xcode 27 ViewBuilder chart composition. No new chart family requiring a wrapper was identified.
- Current checkout and origin/main both remain at release commit `12508be`. `swift build -Xswiftc -warnings-as-errors` passed on the installed Swift 6.4.2 toolchain (69.87 seconds); no non-private `@State` declarations remain in Sources.
- Toolchain correction: `/Applications/Xcode.app` reports Xcode 27.2 build 27B48, which Apple's current documentation identifies as RC. Command Line Tools receipt is also 27.2. The latest stable Apple release found is Xcode 27.1; do not count the RC build as stable verification or run further prerelease tests under the stable-only policy.
- Recommended CI maintenance: `.github/workflows/docs.yml` still uses `actions/checkout@v4` (upstream latest v7.0.1), has no `swift test` step, and omits `Tests/**` from path triggers. Add stable-toolchain unit-test coverage and refresh checkout in a separate implementation change.
- Fresh stable tests and DocC, simulator/device rendering, and Swift 6 language-mode migration were not verified. No package source, manifest, workflow, or release refs were changed by this audit.

- [x] Read the linked Point-Free post and audit every SwiftUI state declaration
- [x] Replace immutable legacy view inputs with private stored values
- [x] Verify every remaining `@State` declaration is private
