# enforce inline-asm CPU floors for legacy x86 - #292

Reject PUSHA/POPA and word IMUL forms that require a newer CPU while preserving GP32 virtualization on 8086. Cover rejected, legal, and emulated execution paths. Reference rung 3: Microsoft MASM 6.0 Programmer's Guide documents these CPU floors. No third-party implementation was needed or copied.
Regenerate the locator after integration and the new CPU-floor tests. This removes references to untracked Watcom tools absent from the current checkout and updates current symbol anchors.

Reject PUSHA/POPA and word IMUL forms when the selected CPU predates them, while preserving 8086 GP32 virtualization. Adds GWT boundary and emulator tests, updates README/backend docs, and refreshes the generated symbol index. Local build passed; full suite: 6,543 passed, 12 existing skips, 0 failed. Rebased build and 15 focused tests passed.
