Follow-up to #955 / #956. The review fix in #955 moved Redux and Ultra onto v3's long-form default (no mel context, silence-aligned window starts), so their docs numbers are re-measured on that path with v3 run back to back (full sets, ANE default).

v3 Redux Ultra
test-clean WER 2.27 % 2.71 % 2.13 %
test-other WER 4.12 % 5.12 % 3.81 %
test-clean RTFx 128.6× 83.9× 126.7×
test-other RTFx 114.7× 76.0× 110.1×

FLEURS WER unchanged (14.81 / 13.06 / 11.67). Docs only (ParakeetUltra.md, ParakeetRedux.md, Models.md); the HF model cards are already updated.

#955's review fix moved Redux and Ultra onto v3's no-mel, silence-aligned
chunking default. Re-measured on full sets with v3 back to back (ANE
default): test-clean WER v3 2.27 / redux 2.71 / ultra 2.13, test-other
4.12 / 5.12 / 3.81 (FLEURS unchanged: 14.81 / 13.06 / 11.67). RTFx test-clean
128.6x / 83.9x / 126.7x, test-other 114.7x / 76.0x / 110.1x. Replaces the
earlier speed tables, which had Redux/Ultra on the mel-context path.

Supertonic3 Smoke Test ✅

Build ✅
Model download (incl. VectorEstimatorVariants/ int4 buckets) ✅
Model load ✅
Synthesis pipeline (--ve-variant int4) ✅
Output WAV ✅ (364.7 KB)

Runtime: 0m20s

Note: CI VMs lack a physical Neural Engine; the ANE-bucketed VectorEstimator falls back to CPU here. This validates download + variant resolution + synthesis, not ANE residency/perf.

Streaming tests use 5 files with 0.5s chunks to simulate real-time audio streaming

25 files per dataset • Test runtime: 9m3s • 09/24/2026, 02:17 PM EST

RTFx = Real-Time Factor (higher is better) • Calculated as: Total audio duration ÷ Total processing time
Processing time includes: Model inference on Apple Neural Engine, audio preprocessing, state resets between files, token-to-text conversion, and file I/O
Example: RTFx of 2.0x means 10 seconds of audio processed in 5 seconds (2x faster than real-time)

Expected RTFx Performance on Physical M1 Hardware:

• M1 Mac: ~28x (clean), ~25x (other)
• CI shows ~0.5-3x due to virtualization limitations

Testing methodology follows HuggingFace Open ASR Leaderboard
