Indexing gap: Users-gautamparab-Projects-gp #2571

Description

@gparab

codebase-memory-mcp reports a best-effort indexing gap for the project Users-gautamparab-Projects-gp. index_status lists 12 files with parse_partial ranges and 5 files as parse_unusable (whole file). No code is included.

The failing constructs are Jekyll templating, not HTML or JSON:

  1. Liquid tags inside HTML. Examples: {% if ... %} blocks, {{ "/" | relative_url }} inside href/src attributes, {{ site.author.name }} in text, and comparisons such as {% if words < 180 %}. The parser reads these as malformed markup and recovers.
  2. YAML front matter at the top of HTML files. A leading --- block on inner-circle.html (lines 1 to 85) and similar files is not valid HTML, so the parser recovers.
  3. Liquid inside JSON. images/manifest.json uses {{ site.baseurl | default: '/' }} as a JSON string value, which is not valid JSON.

Impact: the flagged lines may be missing from the graph; the rest of each file is indexed. The five parse-unusable files (layouts and includes) are skipped for the whole file.

Environment: codebase-memory-mcp on macOS (Darwin 25.6.0). Index status shows status: ready with 22,993 nodes and 97,075 edges.
