The press glow read the same spring as the swell, so on release, while that spring rang through rest (strongly under Bouncy and Super springy), each swing back above rest lit the glass up again. The glow and the long-press bloom glow now have their own critically damped springs: they rise with the finger and only fade once it lifts, while the glass keeps its jiggle.
…r keeps up A tapped back button now leaves after 140 ms, so its press is seen first, as on iOS. The system back gesture stays instant and Reduce glass motion skips the wait. Holding Back on a Settings page returns to the Settings index instead of popping all the way Home. The tab bar dropped a selection change that landed while it was being rebuilt, so coming Home from a Settings page left its pill on Settings. It now follows the current tab from its first frame.
The tour's Appearance step gets a Motion row under Liquid Glass with the same Normal / Performance / Bouncy / Super springy chips as Settings; each chip is a glass button, so tapping one plays its physics. Until the user picks a profile the app runs Bouncy, and Reset returns to it.
The prompt used to appear after any 3 interactions (just opening a PDF counted), could pop up at launch or over a running tool, and "Not now" was a flat 30 days. Now it is earned and timed: a finished task scores 3 and opening a document 1, with 9 needed; the app must have been used on 3 different days and installed for 3; it asks only after something went right in this launch, once the person is back on Home or Tools, never in a document opened from another app or on a tour / What's New launch, and not within 10 minutes of a failed task. "Not now" snoozes 3 weeks, then 2 months, and the third is taken as a no. At most one ask per launch.
…s 280 ms The Word editor's PDF button handed the untouched .docx to the PDF route, which converted it with the old web preview, so it opened the previous viewer's look. PDF and Print now go through DocxPdfWriter, which lays the editor's own pages out (DocxLook styles, list labels, pictures, tables, Word's page breaks) with Compose's text engine and draws them straight into a PdfDocument as real text, carrying overflow onto new pages between lines, pictures and rows. The Office engine still goes first when it is installed; the web preview is only a last resort. The Home and Tools search capsule unfurled on the morph spring, whose overshoot on a full-width 0.32 -> 1 scale was tens of dp (more under Bouncy). It now lands critically damped and then gets the glass buttons' ~2.5 dp out-of-phase release jiggle; the icon's quarter turn follows it. A tapped back button now waits 280 ms.
