CSEC ASTU is the Computer Science and Engineering Club at Adama Science and Technology University — a student-run community focused on growing engineers through competitive programming, hands-on projects, bootcamps, and industry exposure. We believe the best way to learn engineering is by doing it alongside people who push you to get better.

Our work is organized into five divisions and one team, each with its own focus and its own contribution to the club.

Trains members for contests including ETCPC (Ethiopian Collegiate Programming Contest) — the pathway to ACPC and ICPC. CSEC ASTU has hosted ETCPC, bringing regional competitive programming to our campus. This division runs regular problem-solving sessions and prepares teams to compete at a national level.

Covers full-stack, web, and mobile development. Members learn and build across the stack — from frontend and backend fundamentals to shipping complete applications — through internal bootcamps and hands-on projects.

Focuses on security fundamentals and applied practice in offensive and defensive security, including CTFs. Members build the skills to think like both attacker and defender.

Covers data analysis, machine learning, and applied AI — from foundational coursework to real projects that put those skills to work.

Handles content, graphics, and video for the club — documenting what CSEC ASTU is building and sharing it publicly with the wider community.

A focused team exploring blockchain and Web3 development. Teams sit below divisions in the club hierarchy — smaller in scope, but core to how we experiment with emerging technology.

Regular Game Nights, seminars, and division-led sessions keep the club active and social, not just academic. We also run internal tooling to track member contributions and recognition, and to keep leadership roles (division heads, VP, president) transparent and low-effort to run.
