Change(s):

  • Add XDR Workbooks/MicrosoftDefenderForOffice365.json alongside the existing Sentinel workbook.
  • Preserve the existing Sentinel workbook, data connector and all six playbook template selections, including their existing supporting resources.
  • Update solution packaging selections and version metadata, add a release-notes entry, regenerate the ARM template, UI definition and test parameters, and add Package/3.2.0.zip.
  • Declare native MDO dependencies on EmailEvents, EmailAttachmentInfo and EmailUrlInfo for the XDR sibling.
  • Preserve the Sentinel workbook's string serializedData contract and use object-shaped Notebook content for the XDR workbook.
  • No existing source-content deletions, toolkit changes or migration logs are included.

Reason for Change(s):

Version Updated:

  • Solution/package version: 3.0.3 → 3.2.0.
  • Existing Sentinel content and solution identity are preserved.
  • No detection or analytic-rule templates are changed.

Testing Completed:

  • All 27 source query surfaces received explicit hash-bound review decisions.
  • Converted 26 business/dropdown queries and removed one workspace scope helper; the review receipt contains no unresolved records.
  • Offline structural checks passed for the authored XDR workbook.
  • Scoped comparison confirmed that every existing generated resource type/name identity remains present.
  • Confirmed one XDR workbook registration/installation pair and that ZIP template JSON matches the adjacent generated files.
  • XDR workbook deployment defaults to off (DeployDefenderWorkbook=false).
  • No cloud deployment, live query execution, workbook UI qualification, installation/readback or repeat-update qualification was performed.

Checked that the validations are passing and have addressed any issues that are present:

  • No — this is an unqualified review candidate, not an accepted release.
  • The full official validation suite was deliberately not run.
  • The packaging backend's automatic ARM-TTK run reported 48 passes and three failures involving API-version age and resource-ID expression checks.
  • The backend also logged Cannot bind argument to parameter 'Path' because it is null. after generating the artifacts. Its zero process exit code is not treated as validation success.
  • Preview-provider authentication/write support and independent workbook installation/readback/update evidence remain unverified.
  • Reproducible regeneration currently depends on the separately submitted toolkit fixes linked above.

updated 3.2.0 row.
Preserve the original native Notebook and explicit source/query review provenance without adding a Sentinel parent. Regenerate the additive candidate with the V3.1 hybrid packager while retaining all existing content.

The packaging-time ARM-TTK run reports 47 passes and six failures, plus a trailing null-Path diagnostic. This remains an unqualified review candidate; no full suite or deployment was performed.

Validate the reviewed canonical Notebook and query inventory directly from the native XDR artifact. Preserve historical import provenance and all stable identities; no separate source file or Sentinel parent is required. Rebuilt with corrected V3.1 tooling; deployed package JSON is unchanged.

Use the exact O365 offer tracking ID supplied by the owner. Regenerate the additive 3.2.0 candidate with V3.1; the sole semantic ARM addition is the empty unconditional root attribution deployment. Both XDR workbooks and existing Sentinel content remain unchanged.

Automatic ARM-TTK reports 47 passes and six failures plus the existing null-Path diagnostic. Partner Center acceptance remains unverified.
