The daily Stale Open Issues Slack digest in #dev now lists only top-level Linear issues. Sub-issues (issues that have a parent) are skipped.

  • openIssues now also selects parent { id }, and staleMessage drops any issue whose parent is set.
  • The change only affects this Slack post. Dashboard pages read the same open-work data, but they ignore the new field, so they look the same as before.
  • The open-work local cache key goes from v4 to v5 so stale cached entries without parent get replaced.
  • The per-person avg completion header is a 30-day metric built from completed work. It isn't a count of the listed issues, so it stays the same.
  • Test: added a stale sub-issue (now excluded) and a parent: null issue (still listed) to the digest test.

Checks: npm run check, npm test (96/96 pass), npm run build.

💬 Mary PR Poppins — Comment

Looks clean across security, code quality, completeness, and repo history — no high-conviction issues found. I'd approve on the merits; automated approval is blocked because the PR does not reference a Linear issue. A teammate who owns the #dev stale-issue digest can approve, and adding the Linear link would clear that gate.

✅ Mary would approve this on the merits, but can't approve it automatically — no Linear issue is referenced. A second set of eyes should review and approve.
