- Opt-in anonymous reports (asked once, Settings checkbox): game id, event, result code, app and Windows version under a random install id. Whitelisted fields only; a test checks names, world names and paths never get through.
- After a game's first share: a did-it-work thumbs up/down with an optional comment.
- Tip prompt after the 5th share (Maybe later = again after 25 more, Don't ask again = never), uses the Ko-fi link.
- Backend: Supabase project worldsync, insert-only key, reads only through a token-protected dashboard function.
- Version 2.1.0, changelog entry, 241 tests.
Reports are off until the player says yes (asked once, a Settings checkbox after that). Each one is a game id, an event and a result code under a random install id; a whitelist drops anything else and a test checks that names, world names and paths never get through. After a game's first share the app asks whether it worked. The tip jar asks once after the fifth share, then every 25 if 'later', never if 'don't ask again', and only once a tip link exists. Nothing is sent until the reporting backend is configured.
The publishable key can only insert rows into the events table; reading goes through a token-protected dashboard function. Nothing is sent unless the player opted in.
2.0.0 shipped without them, so they move out of the 2.0.0 notes into 2.1.0 (unreleased) and the version bumps.
…pop-ups No consent pop-up any more: reports are on by default, the welcome screen says so in one line, and a Settings checkbox turns them off. The tip pop-up is gone too: a small 'Buy me a coffee' link sits at the bottom of every game page and the library, and after the fifth share Windows shows one notification that opens Ko-fi when clicked.
Reports now cover the setup funnel, sync timings, world size, group size, cloud kind, language and a few button clicks; crashes report only the error type and function. Settings gets 'Delete my reports' (server-side erase plus a fresh id) and a link to the new PRIVACY.md; the server deletes reports after 12 months. Tests can no longer reach the live report server.
