Prepare version 2.3.0 for release by removing
-SNAPSHOTand updating the README examples, Groovy badge, runtime matrix, and release notes, including the redirect and timeout fixes merged in PR #7.Update Ben Manes Versions to 0.65.0, Gradle Plugin Publish to 2.2.1, MockWebServer to 5.5.0, Groovy to 4.0.33, and JUnit Jupiter / Platform Launcher to 6.1.3. Use the current
io.github.ben-manes.versionsplugin ID, replace deprecated signing-property access, and remove configuration-cache warn mode so release builds fail on cache problems. Regenerate the wrapper with Gradle 9.8.1 and pin its official distribution SHA-256 checksum and move the Gradle 9 CI/TestKit compatibility target to 9.8.1, retaining Gradle 8.13 and JDK 17/21 coverage. Mark the PR #7 planning and verification documents as historical records and note the updated matrix. Scope the status-check 401/403 release note torelease.Validation:
