Slide-to-open menu and other non-web views lack top margin on screens with transparent/island-style notification bar

Queued as high-priority aw-android-native-window-insets for the next implementation pass, with all three symptoms in the acceptance criteria: drawer/logo clipping, Sync toggle touch access, and status-icon contrast.

The current source targets SDK 36 but still relies on the API-35 edge-to-edge opt-out, which Android disables on Android 16 for target SDK 36. Sync has fixed 16dp padding, while the drawer already sets fitsSystemWindows, so the two windows need separate reproduction checks. This is a source-level lead; I haven't reproduced it on a device yet.

The task requires before/after screenshots and a real toggle-tap check, plus an older-API regression check. I'll keep this issue open until the repair is verified.

Reproduced and repaired in #258.

On the Android 16 hole-cutout emulator, the Sync switch was at y=42–113 inside the 136px status-bar area. Center taps left it off. The repair moves it to y=178–249; taps now persist off → on → off. The drawer logo clears the bar, and dark status icons remain readable on the light settings surface.

All four device tests pass on API 34 and 36 in both gesture and three-button navigation (16 case executions), including recreation and repeated inset dispatch. API 36 also passed with system dark mode. The 99 JVM tests pass, and Greptile returned 5/5. Before/after screenshots, UI bounds, APKs and test logs are retained in the aw-android-insets-d32d evidence bundle.

The local task now waits on review/merge of PR 258. Keeping this issue open until the merged repair is verified against all three symptoms.

Verified: PR #258 merged (7142aab) addresses all three acceptance criteria:

1. Drawer logo visibility — MainActivity now owns system-bar insets via WindowInsetsCompat, removing the overlap that clipped the logo.
2. Sync toggle tappable — the switch bounds moved from y=42–113 (inside the 136px system-bar) to y=178–249 below it; verified by instrumentation tests on API 34 and 36.
3. Status-icon contrast — WindowInsetsControllerCompat selects dark system icons for the light theme.

CI is green (Build, Test, Test E2E (29), Greptile Review all SUCCESS). I don't have CloseIssue permission on this repo (pull-only) — a maintainer can close this.
