…ions make setup, test, lint, check and check-release run the commands from CONTRIBUTING.md with the environment variables the tests need. pre-commit runs ruff as CI does. CONTRIBUTING.md now also gives the uv command for the lock, which needs --index-strategy unsafe-best-match. pyproject.toml says which PyTorch it constrains: the tools and CPU checks. Training and segment checks run in the training image with PyTorch 2.8.0 (see #216).
