Conclusion

Current Status

The rustVX OpenVX implementation demonstrates:

  • Correct C FFI Design: The Rust-to-C bridge works properly
  • Core Framework: Context and graph management are functional
  • Error Handling: Proper validation and error returns
  • Memory Safety: No leaks or crashes in tests

However, it does NOT achieve Khronos conformance because:

  • Incomplete API: Only ~10% of OpenVX functions are implemented
  • No Image Support: Cannot create or manipulate images
  • Stub Kernels: Node functions only validate inputs
  • Missing Objects: Scalars, thresholds, arrays, etc. not implemented

Verdict
