Feature request: Compile command line version only

I struggled to install this software on OSX and CentOS due to the QT bindings in the gui project. One issue is that many brain imaging tools still use CentOS 6.6, which by default uses QT 4.6, rather than the required 4.8. Is it possible to have a simple make file that would simply compile the command line version of this software. That would allow easier compilation on a wide range of systems.

Thanks for this other idea. It has floated around a few times here as well. I think we could simply remove the GUI version, since I'm pretty sure no one uses it. That would almost remove our dependency on Qt.

However, the student that coded this went on a design using most of Qt classes internally (Qstrings, QVectors, etc). If we wanted to remove the full dependency to Qt, that would be quite some work.

I think we could still bring back the needed version to 4.6, but that will also require some time. As was suggested in your other issue (issue #13 ), an intermediate solution would be to use Dipy's version. We could even provide you with a command-line callable script that could perform exactly the same work as this binary.
