I tried setting it up, but the animations weren't working.

Thanks for opening this issue! Ionic Framework 9 is not supported yet, which is why the animations may not work correctly. The styling of ion-textarea is also likely affected, so I will address that as part of the Ionic 9 support work as well. I will start working on this today and plan to ship the fixes in a minor release by the end of this week. Thanks for your patience—please stay tuned!
