From 37e0b358a36107205ea8a2964669974526732700 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Nejc Stebe Date: Fri, 16 Oct 2026 12:11:08 +0200 Subject: [PATCH 1/6] feat: parse functional specs as func-id headings A functionality is a `# ` heading followed by its body: a prose statement line and the `- ` bullets indented under it. The parse result entry carries the id, the body markdown, its linked resources and empty conformance and acceptance test lists. A flush-left `- ` list in functional specs, and an acceptance tests or conformance tests section in a core spec, are the old syntax; the error names the migrate-plain-syntax skill. The nested acceptance test code is removed and every fixture is converted. --- src/plain_parser/concept_utils.py | 9 - src/plain_parser/plain_file.py | 448 ++++++++---------- src/plain_parser/plain_spec.py | 15 +- .../cli/acceptance_test_binary_resource.plain | 10 - With conformance-tests-script in the config, every functionality needs a conformance scenario; the error names it as : and the add-test-scenarios skill. The config keys test-dir and conformance-tests-script are read like template-dir. --- src/plain_parser/__init__.py | 3 +- src/plain_parser/cli.py | 115 ++++++-- src/plain_parser/exceptions.py | 6 + src/plain_parser/project.py | 154 ++++++++++ tests/data/cli/project/config.yaml | 2 + .../cli/project/tests/todo/add-task.plain | 17 ++ .../cli/project/tests/todo/list-tasks.plain | 11 + tests/data/cli/project/todo.plain | 15 + tests/test_cli.py | 100 +++++++ tests/test_project.py | 268 ++++++++++++++++++ 10 files changed, 660 insertions(+), 31 deletions(-) create mode 100644 src/plain_parser/project.py create mode 100644 tests/data/cli/project/config.yaml create mode 100644 tests/data/cli/project/tests/todo/add-task.plain create mode 100644 tests/data/cli/project/tests/todo/list-tasks.plain create mode 100644 tests/data/cli/project/todo.plain create mode 100644 tests/test_project.py diff --git a/src/plain_parser/__init__.py b/src/plain_parser/__init__.py index b27dbbf..a37fbfe 100644 --- a/src/plain_parser/__init__.py +++ b/src/plain_parser/__init__.py @@ -1,6 +1,6 @@ """Parser for ***plain specification files.""" -from plain_parser import concept_utils, exceptions, loaders, plain_file, plain_spec, test_plain_file +from plain_parser import concept_utils, exceptions, loaders, plain_file, plain_spec, project, test_plain_file from plain_parser.plain_file import ( PlainFileParseResult, get_filename_from_module_name, @@ -26,5 +26,6 @@ "plain_file", "plain_file_parser", "plain_spec", + "project", "test_plain_file", ] diff --git a/src/plain_parser/cli.py b/src/plain_parser/cli.py index 24a9a48..990c2a1 100644 --- a/src/plain_parser/cli.py +++ b/src/plain_parser/cli.py @@ -4,14 +4,17 @@ import json import os import sys -from dataclasses import dataclass +from dataclasses import dataclass, field import yaml -from plain_parser import loaders, plain_file, plain_spec +from plain_parser import loaders, plain_spec, project DEFAULT_CONFIG_NAME = "config.yaml" TEMPLATE_DIR_CONFIG_KEYS = ("template_dir", "template-dir") +TEST_DIR_CONFIG_KEYS = ("test_dir", "test-dir") +CONFORMANCE_TESTS_SCRIPT_CONFIG_KEYS = ("conformance_tests_script", "conformance-tests-script") +DEFAULT_TEST_DIR = "tests" PARSE_FORMAT_VERSION = 1 @@ -71,17 +74,37 @@ def resolve_config_file(config_name: str, plain_file_path: str) -> str | None: return None -def template_dir_from_config(config_file: str) -> str | None: - """The template-dir value of the config file, resolved against the file's directory.
