url visitor doesn't visit the url of @import

I can imagine that it's a deliberate choice to not visit the url of an @import, but I have a use case where I'd like it to happen. I have a workaround, so it's no big deal, but if it is a deliberate choice, a mention of it in the docs might help someone else be less surprised.
