This is a meta issue for tracking literal status of 32-bit support architecture in NextcloudPi. This topic is under active discussion within Nextcloud itself.... and it will directly impact every single NextcloudPi instance on that old x86 or arm32 architecture estimated one full cycle after stable support is dropped in estimated 35 (see linked issue from nc). This will be a gradual process, which is why we should at least stay aware of it now.
- Exact timing to be confirmed here.
- Support has not been formally discontinued yet.
- Able volunteers are being encouraged to step up in terms of future 32-bit support for Nextcloud (see the official issue).

Starting with release 35 (Nextcloud Hub 2026 Summer), we'll add a warning that 32bit is unsupported going forward. We'll still aim to make 2026 Summer work correctly on 32bit, as the last officially supported release. -Direct quote from Jos at NC from linked issue.
The release of version 35 is estimated for November 2026, with support in terms of code lasting until November 2027. This is a best guess, but has not been formally announced.
- As always, Tobias is extremely conservative in such code changes within NCP. There is not intention for anything to magically "stop working", but obviously future bugs and performance issues will appear over time (and should be as easy to stay informed on as possible).
- Nextcloud is actively seeking volunteers interested in maintaining 32-bit support, but please be considerate! Do not demand Tobias takes it over, and stay respectful. That undertaking would be related to Nextcloud, as opposed to ncp.

tldr, once support is dropped that means you'll effectively have that remaining release cycle of support for code fixes from upstream. Things will chug along as always, with specific details confirmed in the future.
