video trimming not doing anything

Describe the issue
When attempting to trim a video (eg cut away the first few seconds) nothing happens after saving the changes. The video stays unchanged.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the issue:

1. Go to trim section of the video
2. Go to some position in the video
3. Click "Set start point at current position"
4. Click "Save"
5. Click "Confirm save"
6. wait an hour
7. nothing has happened

Expected behavior
The video should be trimmed and saved and the old video discarded.
