REUSE is a standard that allows a project to specify license and copyright information in a machine-readable format (e.g. reuse lint --json tells you which file has which license and which copyright notice).
The RFC for the use of REUSE in ArchLinux gives a nice overview.
If I make libESMTP REUSE-compliant (i.e. add some comments, clean up some other comments, add a REUSE.toml file), would you be interested in such a Pull Request?
