highlevel.md Below is a lean-but-impressive “GemHub” platform plan that layers on top of Continue.dev yet stays hack-friendly. Every box uses well-known, minimal libraries that play nicely together (Ruby 3.3 ± RBS, Node 20, Python 3.11; all services run under one docker-compose.yml).

All arrows crossing language boundaries are simple JSON/HTTP to avoid incompatibility headaches.

2 ▸ Minimal-Lib Component Choices

Concern Lib / Runtime Why it’s the simplest that works API & Registry Sinatra (Ruby) + sequel ORM → SQLite One-file Ruby micro-API; no Rails weight. Sandbox docker-compose + plain bash scripts No K8s; deterministic across OS. Benchmarks benchmark-ips, mutant, simplecov (Ruby gems) Already used in Ruby OSS projects; zero extra daemons. Vector Store FAISS + sqlite3 (Python) Fast local search; trivial Docker image. LLM Gateway FastAPI (Python) Async, three-file server; avoids Node deps in gateway. Front-End Continue.dev React panel (already provided), plus D3.js for charts No separate SPA build pipeline. CLI Thor (Ruby) Ships with GemHub for devs outside VS Code.
