Query with large response of 18k elements takes way too long.

I have a query that returns 18k elements as the response, it used to compute under a minute with the version 11.0 but after migrating to 15.0 it has gotten too slow (does not even finish in 10 mins). Is there some setting that can help, as it used to work in 11.0.
