Description
I have installed the Codeburn desktop app on two machines (a laptop and a workstation) and paired them under the same account.
The behaviour appears to be inconsistent across the different interfaces:
- The menu bar statistics show the combined usage/cost across both devices.
- The web GUI also reports the aggregated statistics correctly.
- In the desktop app, the Settings page correctly recognises that another device is paired.
- However, the Dashboard in the desktop app only displays the cost for the current device, rather than the combined total.
This makes the desktop dashboard inconsistent with both the menu bar and the web interface.
Steps to reproduce
- Install the desktop app on two devices.
- Pair both devices to the same account.
- Generate usage on both devices.
- Open the desktop app on either device.
- Compare:
- the menu bar statistics,
- the web GUI,
- the desktop Dashboard.
Expected behaviour
The desktop Dashboard should display the same aggregated usage/cost as the menu bar and the web GUI (or, if it is intentionally device-specific, this should be clearly indicated and documented).
Actual behaviour
The Dashboard only reports the usage/cost of the current device, despite the app recognising the paired device in Settings.
Environment
- OS: OSX 26.5.2 and PopOS 24.04
- Codeburn desktop app version: v0.9.19
- Number of paired devices: 2 (laptop and workstation)
