[Minecraft 1.21.8][Fabric][Linux][PolyMC] Mod just does not do anything.

What it says in the title, I have this mod and Craterlib installed. It says it is enabled in the config, but it just never shows that I'm playing minecraft. Discord shows if I play other games, just never minecraft. It seems to have automatically picked up an application ID, but I have no way of verifying if that's the right one.

So just to double check,

Which discord client are you using? Official or Vencord etc?
Secondly, how is your discord installed, and how is your launcher installed? Snap/Flatpak/Native?

Then finally, can you attach a copy of your client log from when you tried to use the mod please

That's the problem. Your launcher and discord needs to be installed in the same way. If you install discord native, your launcher also needs to be native. If you install the launcher from snap, discord also needs to be snap etc.

Snap and Flatpak applications are sandboxed, meaning they can't communicate with native applications, or non snap/flatpak applications

The reason your other games work, is because they run as if they are native (for example, steam games will launch the game on proton, outside of snap and flatpak).

This is a limitation of snap and flatpak apps, and all other RPC mods will run into the same issue
