Propose Admin Page for adding Project Showcase and Upcoming Events

Would like to have an Admin page where we can just add the Projects for Project Showcase and Events for Upcoming Events. So that we wouldn't have to hard code them. And we can just hide projects/events without hard deleting them from the DB.

Challenge for that is how do we restrict the access to only specific people. Does that mean that we'd have to implem a login/logout for admin access? Or is there an alternative way? Would appreciate your input 💪

I dont think the admin page is a necessity at the moment. If we would have a separate repo for creating articles, possibly have it as a static site generator like Jekyll which only needs Markdown files. Also, Markdown doesn't have a steep learning curve if I recall correctly versus HTML.

+1 from me. The target users are developers and technically-inclined persons, so there won't be much of a problem if we follow along the lines of a static site generator, as Shann said. @Kriztoper @johnpaulada, we might not even need to have a database for the website in the first place, if we proceed with this setup.

Nah. We need it. If this is a learning experience, they need to work with a database hahaha
If we're just building the site for the sake of building it, we can just use markdown files,
pero if they're trying to learn about how real life applications are put together, we need to have
a minimal but still scalable setup.

If we don't need to learn from from the project, we can just use Astro with no API or database or admin, but that doesn't teach how to integrate with systems LOL

Fair points. Having a database on-hand already would also be useful for us in the future. We will have fewer things to set up since the DB infrastructure will already be in place by that point.
