From f112f6476c9849678948f8cedb4d4ee996f86363 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: DJ Mountney Date: Wed, 28 Oct 2026 08:37:46 -0700 Subject: [PATCH] ci: run the CI MongoDB on 7.0 so it starts on the runners' 7.0 kernel [ENG-1851] Both ubuntu-24.04 (since 20261023) and ubuntu-26.04 runners boot 7.0.0-1017-azure. mongod 8.x exits at startup on Ubuntu's 7.0.0 kernels (SERVER-136848, open, no override), so the MongoDB rollout in "Deploy test dependencies" times out. Pinning lint-test to ubuntu-24.04 didn't avoid that kernel, so this puts it back on ubuntu-latest.
